OmniSite Pump Station Monitoring and Alarm System

OmniSite: Elizabethtown Regional

Elizabethtown Regional Sewage Authority Staff

In January 2012, the Elizabethtown Regional Sewer Authority (ERSA) was formed through the merger of the Mount Joy Township Authority and the West Donegal Township Authority. Currently overseeing 15 pumping stations and serving approximately 4,800 customers, ERSA recognized the need to replace the outdated landline pump station alarm dialers in early 2015.

The challenges with the existing dialers included limited technical support, high monthly phone service fees, absence of operational information, and arduous on-site programming requirements. To enhance and standardize their pump station alarm monitoring systems, ERSA collaborated with Envirep. They initiated a trial with the OmniSite Pump Station Monitoring System at one of their stations, which proved highly successful. Consequently, ERSA upgraded all 15 pump stations with the OmniSite Crystal Ball alarm monitoring system by May 2019.

Steve Rettew, ERSA’s Operations Supervisor, referred to the implementation as a blessing, highlighting the benefits of OmniSite’s alarm dialers. These include detailed operational data, easy issue resolution through data identification, a user-friendly interface, proactive maintenance capabilities, informed decision-making during alarms, and exceptional technical support.
