SAVÉCO Beast Trucked-In-Waste Screen
The Beast is a marvel in waste screening technology, offering a self-contained, fully automated system designed for rapid removal of debris and inorganic solids from hauled-in-waste trucks. Tailored for septage and heavy solids-loading applications, this septage receiving screen ensures a swift and efficient unloading process, enhancing the overall cleanliness and operational efficiency of your wastewater treatment facility.
The Beast by SAVÉCO is a self-contained, automated screening system that quickly removes debris and inorganic solids from hauled-in-waste trucks allowing a typical septage or FOG truck to unload quickly and efficiently. This septage receiving screen provides cleaner handling of septage truck waste by removing solids such as rocks, rags, plastics, and other debris. The enclosed station ensures operator safety and contains offensive odors.
Sequence of Operation
The waste liquid enters the tank and discharges directly into the rotating perforated drum screen. As the drum screen rotates, flights capture debris and carry it around the basket, depositing it into the auger trough. The auger conveys the debris from the trough into the washing zone, and then to the compaction zone, where it undergoes dewatering and discharge. The achievement of a high percent dryness depends on the type of debris in the influent. The perforated plate drum contributes to a very high debris capture rate compared to other screen types.
Features & Benefits
It is designed for debris-laden liquid/solid separation applications requiring fast processing.
- Unmatched Debris Removal:
- Engineered for septage and heavy solids-loading applications, The Beast excels in removing rocks, rags, plastics, and other debris from the waste stream.
- Eliminates the need for additional rock traps or grinders.
- Advanced Sequence of Operation:
- The waste liquid easily passes through a rotating perforated drum screen, capturing debris on flights that efficiently deposit it into the auger trough.
- Debris is moved through the washing and compaction zones, achieving high dryness percentages based on influent debris types.
- Efficient Dual Drive System:
- Independent drives for the drum and auger optimize debris capture and removal, which ensures a high capture rate compared to other screens.
- Large-diameter, heavy-duty industrial bearings with built-in grease fittings enhance durability.
- Two-Stage Tank Design:
- Prevents sedimentation by narrowing the inlet, allowing debris-laden liquid to feed directly into the screen basket.
- Faster auger speed for swift removal of inorganic material, while a slower drum screen speed enhances debris capture and cleaning.
- Enhanced Screen Cylinder Design:
- A double seal prevents bypass and improves fine material capture.
- A lower inclination angle boosts debris capture and removal speed.
- Maintenance-Friendly Design:
- No support arms on the influent side to collect rags and wipes.
- Brushes-free screen basket reduces maintenance hassles.
- Customizable Controls:
- Controls are made to fit your needs, from basic to sophisticated options.
- Optional screening bagger available for added benefit.
