Triplepoint Wastewater Lagoons have provided reliable and cost-effective wastewater treatment for many years. They are easy to operate and require minimal maintenance. However, with more stringent effluent requirements, many lagoons must be upgraded to achieve better BOD and TSS removal, and nutrient removal.
A lagoon is a simple aerobic biological treatment system with an aerated pond to promote the biological oxidation of the wastewater.

Aerated lagoons use aerators for mixing and adding oxygen to the wastewater. They are either partial-mix or complete-mix lagoons, depending on the amount of aeration. Energy costs for lagoons are typically much less than those for other types of wastewater treatment systems. Aerated lagoons require less land area and shorter detention times than anaerobic lagoons or facultative lagoons.
