Franklin Electric Sewage Grinder Pumps

When traditional gravity-type collection systems are not feasible due to low elevations or long distances, Franklin Electric Sewage Grinder Pumps provide a reliable, high-performance solution. These factory-assembled packages are engineered to grind raw sewage into a fine slurry, enabling easy transport through pressure sewer systems.
Engineered for High-Performance Solids Reduction
At the heart of every Franklin Electric system is a powerful 2 HP, 3450 RPM motor designed with high starting torque to prevent stalling during heavy solids processing.
Key Performance Features:
- Superior Cutting Action: The cutting mechanism features rotating blades to ensure stringy waste and solids are thoroughly macerated.
- High-Head Capability: Designed for both low and high-head applications, these pumps can handle a Total Dynamic Head (TDH) of up to 180 feet (with a shutoff head of 200 ft).
- Non-Clogging Design: Features a seven-vane, angled-face balanced brass impeller for maximum efficiency and durability.
Pre-Assembled Fiberglass Grinder Packages
To save time on-site and ensure system integrity, Franklin Electric grinder stations are pre-installed at the factory and each unit is fully tested before shipment.

Simplex and Duplex Configurations
Depending on your application—residential, commercial, or municipal—you can choose between Simplex (single pump) or Duplex (dual pump) arrangements.
- Heavy-Duty Basins: Constructed from corrosion-resistant fiberglass.
- Simplex Basins: 24” diameter; depths from 60” to 96”.
- Duplex Basins: 36” diameter; depths from 48” to 120”.
- Factory-Installed Components: Each package includes piping, valves, stainless steel slide rails, and pump disconnect systems already in place.
- NEMA 4X Control Panel: Waterproof enclosure featuring integral float level controls, a red flashing alarm light, and an audible alarm for maximum safety.
Applications & Installation
Franklin Electric grinder pumps are ideal for pressure sewer systems using small-diameter PVC pipes (typically 1.5″ to 3″). They are frequently used in:

- Residential and commercial buildings in low-lying areas.
- New developments where gravity sewers are cost-prohibitive.
- Municipal wastewater treatment plant lift stations.
- Septic system pressure dosing.
